I think most of you know there was a bigearthquake which happened in Taiwan last week. For people who are growing up in Taiwan, probably get used to earthquakes.
However, as been experienced the big one 25 years ago, the one happened in 3rd of April definitely brought myself back to the scary memories.
Well, if you are in Taiwan (no matter youare just travelling or for long stay), while the earthquake happen, you could
hear that people start to shout out “ dì zhèn”.
What do these two words mean?
It means “Earthquake”.
地 dì: This word means "land” or “ground”.
震 zhèn: This word means “shake” or “quake”.
When these two words put together, whichmeans the land and ground is shaking, also called earthquake.
